Hong Kong will kick off the Year of the Horse on Tuesday with its annual night parade, featuring floats and performers from more than 60 countries and regions.
The Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade will feature a street party at 6pm before the procession begins at 8pm in Tsim Sha Tsui.

1. What are the highlights of the parade?
With Cathay Pacific Airways as the title sponsor, the parade will see 12 floats in a procession departing from the Hong Kong Cultural Centre piazza at 8pm on February 17, passing along Canton Road, Haiphong Road and Nathan Road before ending at the Sheraton Hong Kong Hotel and Towers.
The floats will include classic aircraft by Cathay, three horses by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, pandas by Ocean Park Hong Kong, a classic train by McDonald’s, Labubu and Molly characters by the Hong Kong Brand Toy Association and a glowing wishing tree by Lam Tsuen Wishing Square.
Before the parade, a street party at 6pm will bring together 15 local performing groups. They will stage lion and dragon dances, rope-skipping performances, street dance and magic shows, among other entertainment.
2. How can you catch the spectacle?
Tickets for the seated spectator stands have sold out.
