When we talk of AI, Google’s Gemini is one of the AI assistants that come to everyone’s mind alongside OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Microsoft’s Copilot. As of November 2025, Google Gemini has crossed 650 million monthly users, which means that there are plenty of users that Google can cater to directly. Although CES 2026 is officially kicking off tomorrow, Google has joined the party early and announced something related to Gemini, but this time it’s targeting Google TV users.

Google TV supercharged with Gemini features as well as creative AI tools

In today’s The Keyword blog post, Google announced that, taking to the CES 2026 stage, it has previewed how Gemini can help Google TV users by bringing more ways to interact with your TV across more brands and devices like projectors. As announced, if you are a Google TV user, you’ll now be able to explore your favorite topics through a visually rich framework that “adapts Gemini’s responses to [their] queries” related to images, videos, and real-time sports updates.

As an example, Google mentioned that the “Deep dives” feature can break down complex topics and offer a narrated overview that is understandable to the whole family. Apart from that, you can also make the most of Gemini by searching your Google Photos library for specific moments or people. For example, if you have a pet, you can simply search for photos that include your pet using Google’s AI assistant.

What’s interesting is that you also get to quickly apply artistic styles with the Photos Remix feature or convert your memories into a cinematic, immersive slideshow that can be watched on your Google TV with every family member. That’s not all; Google says that you can also use the Nano Banana image generation model and the Veo video generation model to reimagine photos or create original media right on your TV.

If you’re someone who is always confused about the settings menus, Gemini lets you skip all of that hassle and lets you to use natural language to optimize settings. For example, if you want to brighten up the screen more, you can simply tell Gemini, “The screen is too dim.” In case you’re having trouble with audio, simply say, “The dialogue is lost.” Putting it simply, you can optimize settings with voice commands directed at Gemini, without leaving your movie or show.

Now, you must be wondering which TVs are getting these features, right? Well, Google has explicitly mentioned that the Gemini-powered TV experience will first be rolled out to TCL devices, with other Google TV devices joining the party later in the coming months.
