We all knew that this year’s CES would be dominated by AI, and the reality is nothing short of that. Major companies and startups have unveiled some of the most unique AI products at the largest consumer tech conference in Las Vegas. When we talk of AI, Meta is among the names that pops up in everyone’s head, and rightly so.
Meta teleprompter brings notes right to your eyes
Well, Meta showed up at the CES 2026 event, and it came with multiple updates that feel less experimental and look more finished. The company has focused on expanding what its Ray-Ban Display glasses and Neural Band can already do. Speaking of which, Meta has announced a new teleprompter feature that is now built directly into the Ray-Ban Display glasses.
It says that users can paste notes or full scripts from their phone and view them inside the display. Interestingly, users can scroll the scripts at their own pace using the Meta Neural Band. If you haven’t heard about it yet, it is designed for presentations, hands-free recording, and even casual content creation. The device ensures that you don’t have to glance down at a phone while delivering a presentation in front of your colleagues or batchmates.
EMG handwriting lets Meta users message with a finger
Another interesting feature that Meta showcased at CES 2026 is EMG-based handwriting. Meta is rolling out the ability to send messages on WhatsApp and Messenger by writing with a finger on any surface while wearing the Neural Band. Yes, that sounds like a concept from a sci-fi movie, but it’s here.
So what goes behind this feature, you may ask, right? The system translates your motion movements into text, allowing users to quickly respond while keeping their head up and eyes forward. It says that this feature is currently limited to users in the US and supports only English.
Meta is also expanding EMG
Besides adding more features, Meta is also trying to make EMG a wider input platform. A proof of concept showcased by the company with Garmin suggests that the Neural Band could control in-car infotainment systems using finger gestures. Although Meta hasn’t provided any update on availability, it does look promising, at least in the demo.
On a side note, Meta has also paused its planned international expansion of Ray-Ban Display glasses and is only continuing to focus on US orders for now. So which of the aforementioned announcements made you think, “Oh, I like that one”? Let us know in the comments below.
