The CES 2026 event will officially kick off tomorrow, January 6, through January 9 in Las Vegas, but there are plenty of products that have already been announced. As we all know, AI is the hot topic these days, which makes it obvious that the products related to the tech would feature at the event. Speaking of one of the most unique AI products unveiled so far, the Plaud NotePin S is right up there. Besides the AI gadget, Plaud has also unveiled a desktop app designed to cover both worlds. But first, let’s talk about the Plaud NotePin S.
The new NotePin S from Plaud is a cute little AI meeting notetaker
As the name suggests, the Plaud NotePin S is the successor of the company’s pin-style AI notetaker first launched back in 2024. Speaking of design, the new NotePin S comes with a physical button. It allows you to start and stop recordings easily right from the device itself. When you come across a key moment during a recording, you can simply tap the same button to highlight key moments. That’s the same feature found in the recently launched Plaud Note Pro.
Plaud says that the idea is to capture important pointers immediately, without needing to reach your phone or a laptop. Speaking of price, the Plaud NotePin S starts at $179, and comes with a bunch of accessories, including a clip, lanyard, magnetic pin, and wristband. All these accessories give you the flexibility of wearing the NotePin S the way you want throughout the day, irrespective of where you are. Worth noting that there are three colors to choose from: Black, Silver, and Purple.

Under the hood, the core specs of the NotePin S remain almost identical to the previous-gen pin-style AI notetaker. The tiny AI device comes with 64GB of storage, up to 20 hours of continuous recording, and dual MEMS microphones that can clearly capture audio within a 9.8-foot (~ 3 meters) range.
That’s not all; Plaud is also offering 300 minutes of free transcription per month. Not to forget, the device comes with 40 days of standby battery life. However, when compared to the Pro model, the “S” version has a shorter recording range and lower battery life. That being said, the compact and more portable form factor makes it a go-to for anyone who is always on the go.

Plaud also introduces a dedicated desktop app for easily recording online meetings
Besides hardware, Plaud has also introduced its desktop app ahead of CES 2026. The desktop app gives you a native, bot-free way to capture your online meetings. The app allows you to record intentionally and securely, without meeting bots joining calls or browser extensions slowing down your workflow.
One of the interesting things about the Plaud desktop app is that it can automatically detect when a Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or other online meeting is active. All it requires is a single click to start recording those meetings securely with real-time audio capture. With multimodal input, you can enrich your notes by adding visuals, highlighting key audio moments, and typing text, all in one seamless flow.

Thanks to Plaud Intelligence, your recordings, transcripts, and ideas stay unified in one place and instantly accessible on Plaud Desktop, Plaud App, and Plaud Web. Notably, Plaud Desktop is available as part of the Plaud ecosystem. It’s available for Windows and macOS in beta as of now; you can sign up herePlaud Desktop app.
